IDEA #1...Tale a tattered quilt and cut out a section big enough to cover the back of your window. Use a staple gun to staple the quilt in place, and then attach a picture hanger wire across the back. If you want to give the window more “pop”, then paint the window frame a color found in the quilt. I have done this easy project myself with an old red/blue/gold/black silk log quilt, and it looks very Arts and Crafts movement behind the window that I painted black.
IDEA #2...Old cabinet doors going into the trash? Well, get them off the curb and bring them inside...Paint them white and shabby them up...do a little decoupage or embossing on them, and voila! Wall art...don’t take off the hinges either, because they are perfect for wall mounting your new artistic treasure!
